Values are the archive’s composite parameters and may combine several publications; mass may be a minimum mass (M·sin i). “–” means no value in the archive.
Method
We download the Planetary Systems Composite Parameters table (pscomppars), which has one row per confirmed planet. Distances are converted from parsecs to light-years (1 pc = 3.26156 ly). Planet and star names are shown as in the archive. Counts change as new planets are confirmed.
About this page
Thousands of planets have been confirmed around other stars since the 1990s. This catalog summarises the NASA Exoplanet Archive: how many are known, how they were found and which planetary systems are closest to us.
